The fifth edition of 1000 km Balkan Charity Challenge is coming on 29 October to bring together super humans with BIG hearts. 4 days of biking (about 160 km per day) and 7 days of running (about 60 km per day) between Bucharest and Sofia and back — and it’s all about human super powers and charity!
For a second year 1000 km Balkan Charity Challenge chose Multi Kulti Collective as one of the organizations to fundraise for. We’re so happy about this because we will be able to continue our Children’s Programme building bridges between cultures and helping people to successfully integrate in Bulgaria. We plan to invest the donations in a new series of cultural, educational and sport events in Sofia with the participation of at least 200 children of Bulgarians and foreigners of all migrant communities in Bulgaria (including refugees) between the ages of 6 and 18. Events will vary from creative workshops to playing sports outdoors, from learning languages while making bread to visiting interactive museums. They will increase children’s knowledge and improve their skills. The informal communication, creation of common memories and friendships actively support the integration and facilitates convergence among the cultures. Children are usually the first in the family to learn the language of the host society and thus serve as mediators of their parents.
Please support us:
1) Register as a participant in the ultra marathon and run and/or bike in a discipline of your choice. Even 1 km in Sofia is enough. That may happen on 2 November at 8.00 am at Sveta Nedelya sq.
2) Donate for us.
3) Share with friends.
