Georgios Dzordzos came to Bulgaria in 1993. He graduated from the university and decided to stay in Bulgaria. Back then, there were no Greek restaurants and Georgios decided to openned the first authentic one in Sofia.
For the 20 years he’s been living here, Georgios has not thought about what he likes the most about Bulgaria. He travels to Thessaloniki three times a week, so he doesn’t miss anything from Greece.
His favorite Greek dishes are seafood – octopuses, squids, clams. “Like every other Greek,” he says.

The restaurant was opened in 1996. The name of the restaurant comes from “gusto”, the Greek word for tasty and enjoyable. Gustosa is also the name of a very large restaurant in his home town, owned by a relative of George. Initially he took the recipes from there, so he decided to give the same name to his restaurant in Sofia.
Their customers come here because of the extremely fresh seafood, that George imports directly from Greece, but also because of the pleasant atmosphere of a typical Greek restaurant.
The restaurant adheres to original recipes. The most frequent visitors are Bulgarians, 90%, and very few foreigners.
