Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, with the support of “Europe for Citizens Programme” of the European Union, started on 1st October 2016 the project “Celebrating solidarity“. Through this project the partners from Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, Poland and Hungary, which took participation in this programme, will promote philanthropy and examples of solidarity.
General objectives of the the “Europe for Citizens Programme” 2014-2020 are: to contribute to citizens’ understanding of the Union, its history and diversity, foster European citizenship and to improve conditions for civic and democratic participation at Union level through promoting opportunities for societal and intercultural engagement and volunteering at Union level.
At the first meeting held on 6-7 October, the foundation gathered partners from 6 countries and started a project with aim to celebrate solidarity, during next year, in Serbia and partner countries, and promote good practice examples, especially in a time of crisis.
