After the training in Germany, the participants of (Y)our Europe project participated in a series of group meetings where they had the opportunity to continue the process of identifying topics they wanted to work on. As a result, they formed 3 teams (between 4 and 6 people each).
Each team selected a topic that they considered relevant and important for Europe and suggested an idea for activities that will engage local people in discussions and actions on these topics.
The three main topics were: food waste, environmental protection and health care and stories аbout the personal and professional success of migrants living in Sofia.
After planning in more details the implementation of their ideas and their presentation, the teams applied for funding during a pitching event on 25 September 2019 in Sofia. A the jury of professionals in the field of migration – Iva Partsaleva from UNHCR and Iva Gumnishka from the social enterprise Human in the Loop – allocated grants which would allow the participants to implement the planned activities.
(Y)our Europe project is funded by the Robert Bosch Foundation. More information – here.
